Situated on a narrow peninsula bordered by the Pacific and San Diego Bay, Coronado is a notable destination for those seeking the best in coastal living. This area, referred to as The Silver Strand, is a destination for both visitors and residents seeking a relaxed lifestyle with access to miles of beaches, an active harbor, and the highlights and attractions of downtown San Diego. Residents not only enjoy these wonderful enticements, but also a choice of beautiful homes, excellent schools, one of the best commutes in San Diego (the average Coronado resident spent 15 minutes driving to work), as well as one of the lowest crime rates in the County.

Coronado Housing
|
The predominant residential neighborhood on Coronado runs about 12 blocks east to west and 18 blocks north to south, and is located next to the U.S. Naval Air Station at North Island, and a Navy SEALS base to the south. Clean, attractive, and well-maintained homes in a variety of styles are the norm and offer numerous housing options to buyers seeking a home in such a choice location. Condos in the towers on the Pacific are very popular, and offer gracious living with striking views of the Pacific, the downtown area, the graceful curves of the San Diego-Coronado bridge, or the famous turrets and Victorian styling of the Hotel del Coronado. Many older, established homes in Coronado are lovingly preserved and reflect an upscale art-deco look, reminiscent of the 1920s and 30s. If sailing is your passion, Coronado Cays, a prestigious bay development found mid-peninsula within a 10-block radius, offers beautiful one and two story homes with views and boat anchorages.
